This is a theatrical style poster I made for Eddie Battle, an original fantasy comedy series concept I created. The series stars the titular egotistical middle school boy who stumbles upon a small coin-like trinket, which he keeps in his pocket. From it, he can conjure the great sword of legend Excalibur, who has a face and can talk. After dubbing him with the nickname “Excoolibur”, Eddie and friends like Hayla and Sutton go on various misadventures that often revolve around Eddie’s misuse of the weapon. Believing he is destined to be a great king and hero, Eddie is prepared to defend his precious weapon from the various enemies who are after it. In the end, Eddie must decide what he values more, himself and his own kingly glory, or his friends and family.
This poster is a mix of my own illustrations and modified royalty free elements compiled together to create the atmosphere of the scene. The 7 characters, the series logo, plus the sword and its blue light source are all my own illustrations done in Procreate. The rest of the project was created in Adobe Photoshop.
